Documenting the rich heritage of the Forest Moon's indigenous species
This repository is maintained by the Kashyyyk Outreach Program, a civilian research initiative dedicated to studying and preserving the cultural heritage of sentient forest-dwelling species across the galaxy.
While our primary focus is the Ewok species of the Forest Moon of Endor, we also maintain records of related arboreal cultures, including select Wookiee traditions from Kashyyyk.
All data is collected through peaceful observation and voluntary cultural exchange.
Our research team has documented several fascinating developments in Ewok society over the past cycle. The tribes have shown remarkable adaptability and ingenuity in their construction techniques.
Of particular interest: a sudden advancement in counterweight-based defensive mechanisms and an increased proficiency in repurposing found technology. Scholars debate whether this represents an independent technological awakening or external influence.

"Yub nub, eee chop yub nub. Ah toe mee toe pee chee keene. G'noop dock fling oh ah." Traditional Ewok celebration chant (translation uncertain)
Interestingly, certain phrases appear to have no direct translation into Basic. Some researchers speculate these may be terms related to concepts that forest-dwelling cultures understand intuitively, but which urbanized societies have lost.

The role of the indigenous Ewok population in this event has been officially minimized in New Republic records. Our archive seeks to provide a more complete picture, based on oral histories collected from tribal elders.
"Small help can make big difference." as one elder reportedly told our field team.
